Unity “Irish” Blessing, adapted by LH from “Prayer for Protection” by James Dillet Freeman and a traditional Irish blessing:
Beloved One, the light of God surrounds you;
The love of God, enfolds you gently, too.
The power of God, forever will protect you;
God’s presence always watches over you.
So, let the road of life rise up to meet you,
Wind at your back and faith your constant shield.
Truth like a smile of warm sunshine shall greet you,
And cleansing rain fall soft upon your field.
Though fields be fresh and green or hushed and white with snow,
And though we’ve yet to find just where or when,
Or where the roses bloom, we may not really know.
Yet, we will always, always meet again.
Where e’er you go, God’s presence will be with you
And in God’s love you’ll always safely dwell,
For where you are, God is, we know that this is true.
Then, all is well and ever shall be well!
