Prayer Life Leddy Hammock

Prayer Life Leddy Hammock

Inspired by lyrics to ‘My Life Is a Prayer” by Stowe Daily and Karen Taylor-Good:

True prayer is a series of determined affirmations.

This prayer is “not a plea, a desperate call, with tears that fall on bended knee.

But, breathing out and breathing in, it's God in me that lives and breathes, my trusted Friend.

My life is a prayer that God is praying.”  My true thoughts are words that God is saying.

In prayer, “I know, without a doubt, no need to fear.  God's right here, within and without.

My life is a prayer that God is praying.”

“When you pray, go to your inner room, close the door, and pray to your Father in secret. And your Father who sees in secret will repay you” (Mt. 6:6).

This prayer is not a plea, a desperate call, with tears that fall on bended knee.  But, breathing out and breathing in, it's God in me, that lives and breathes, my trusted Friend.

“In praying, do not babble like [those] who think that they will be heard because of their many words.  Do not be like them. Your Father knows what you need before you ask him” (Mt. 6:7-8).

My life is a prayer that God is praying.  My true thoughts are words that God is saying.

“Amen, I say to you, if you have faith and do not waver . . . .  Whatever you ask for in prayer with faith, you will receive" (Mt. 21:21-2).

In prayer, I know, without a doubt, no need to fear.  God's right here, within and without.

“Seek first the kingdom (of God) and his righteousness . . . . Do not worry about tomorrow; tomorrow will take care of itself” (Mt. 6:33-4).

My life is a prayer that God is praying.
