It Came to Pass Leddy Hammock

It Came to Pass Leddy Hammock

Things are not as bad as they seem and I am stronger than I knew.
I call on God to help me, but it’s already done.
Everything God is, I am.  The battle has been won.

Inside my own heart, I find hope and the courage to go on.
When I face my fears, I can see they are all just illusion.
I want to make the difference. I want to be the way.
And when I want to turn and run, I hear myself say:
“I am not weak. I am not helpless.  I am not fear. I am not judgment.
I am whole.  I am worthy.  I am the way of God.”

Stretch your heart until it reaches – the way of God.
Every master teacher teaches – the way of God.
Because the only way to peace is – the way of God.

When the task before us seems too much to take,
let’s remember who we are.  Then we take a breath and say,
“I am not weak. I am not helpless.  I am not fear.  I am not judgment.
I am whole. I am worthy.  I am the way of God.”

“The LORD said to Moses . . . . with your . . . sandals on your feet and you staff in hand, you shall eat like those who are in flight.   It is the Passover of the LORD. . . . .  I will pass over you; . . . no destructive blow will come upon you.  This day shall be a memorial feast for you, which all your generations shall celebrate with pilgrimage to the LORD . . . .  For seven days you must eat unleavened bread” (Exodus 12:1-15).  “By faith Moses . . .  kept the Passover . . . .   By faith they crossed the Red Sea as if it were dry land” (Hebrews 11:24-29).  “Each year [Jesus’] parents went to Jerusalem for the feast of Passover” (Luke 2:41).

“When the day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread arrived, the day for sacrificing the Passover lamb, he sent out Peter and John, instructing them, ‘Go and make preparations for us to eat the Passover.’  They asked him, ‘Where do you want us to make the preparations?’  And he answered them, ‘When you go into the city, a [person] will meet you carrying a jar of water.  Follow [that person] into the house that [the person] enters and say to the master of the house, 'The teacher says to you, ‘Where is the guest room where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’  He will show you a large upper room that is furnished. Make the preparations there.’  Then they went off and found everything exactly as he had told them, and there they prepared the Passover” (Luke 22:7-13).

“When the hour came, he took his place at table with the apostles.  He said to them, ‘I have eagerly desired to eat this Passover with you  . . . .  Then he took a cup, gave thanks, and said, ‘Take this and share it among yourselves . . . .  Then he took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, ‘. . . Do this in memory of me’” (Luke 22:14-20).

“Now the Passover of the Jews was near, and many went up from the country to Jerusalem before Passover to purify themselves.”  “Six days before Passover Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, whom Jesus had raised from the dead.”  “Before the feast of Passover, Jesus knew that his hour had come to pass from this world to the Father. He loved his own in the world and he loved them to the end” (John 11:55; 12:1; 13:1).
