Expect the Best Leddy Hammock

Lyrics to “Expect the Best” by richard Mekdeci:

“I know that I’m loved, right where I stand, I know I’m enough, just as I am.

All that I want, all I desire, is now waiting here for me.

The universe conspires to insure my happiness, so, I expect the best.

I know that I’m loved, right where I stand, I know I’m enough, just as I am.

All that I want, all I desire, is now waiting here for me.

The universe conspires to insure my happiness, so, I expect the best.

I expect the best from every passing moment, every single day.

I’m loving my life, living my dreams, losing my fears, I’m spreading my wings.

Feeling alive, anticipating what the future holds for me and I can’t wait to see what’s gonna happen next, ‘cause I expect the best.

Cain greatly resented this and was crestfallen.  So the LORD said to Cain: "Why are you so resentful and crestfallen? If you do well, you can hold up your head” (Gen. 4:3-7).

Then I give thanks, look in the mirror, and a friend looks back at me.
A smile lights up my face and I know that I am blessed, so, I expect the best.

Jesus told the story of the Prodigal (wandering) Son who spent all his inheritance and then returned to his father’s house to ask him for a job as a hired worker.  “But his father ordered his servants, 'Quickly bring the finest robe and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet . . . .  Then let us celebrate with a feast, because this son of mine was dead, and has come to life again; he was lost, and has been found.'
