Team-taught by our Sr. Minister and retired Reform Rabbi, Arthur Baseman. Sharing insights into Hebrew Studies & Unity allegorical Bible interpretation.
Rabbi Arthur I. Baseman has been part of the Unity Church family through the years, and has participated with Rev. Leddy in multiple presentations of religious studies and communal endeavors. He is a graduate of Harvard College and Hebrew Union College, receiving the Masters of Hebrew Letters and Doctor of Divinity degrees. Now retired, he has served as a pulpit Rabbi for over 40 years. He served in the U.S. Army as a Chaplain, attaining the rank of Captain and is excited to be part of this program of study.
Leddy Hammock was raised by parents who were both Unity ministers. She was ordained at Unity Village, earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English Lit. at the University of Missouri in St. Louis, a Masters in Theological Letters at the Emma Curtis Theological School and a Doctorate in Ministry from Meadvillle Lombard Theological School, Chicago. Now serving her 40th year of ministry at UCC, she is grateful for the tutelage of esteemed interfaith colleague and dear friend, Rabbi Arthur Baseman and looks forward to this class with “our UCC Rabbi!”
