Great leaders in our Bible stories often are given a new name as they come into expanded spiritual understanding. So our Assistant Minister is now The Reverend GRACE (not Phyllis) DEBELLA, and since grace means “God’s love in action,” this is a perfect name for her!
The Reverend Grace has just received her grade reports from the summer semester, and ALL EIGHT instructors at the Urban Unity Ministry School located in Detroit have reported the grade of “A” – for every single one of her eight classes over the summer. The studies are very intense and time-consuming, and yet Reverend Grace continues to serve throughout the week in our offices and leading our WINGS and Midweek Prayer Service on a volunteer basis.
UCC gives Reverend Grace the grace of “A+!”
